Terms of Engagement - The first NEG workshop

30 June 2006, Royal Society, London

This one-day event explored the tensions and synergies between the needs and expectations of the different parties involved in public engagement on nanotechnologies. Speakers from the Environment Agency, the Royal Society and Demos, and scientists and members of the public who have participated in nanotechnology engagement events in the past shared their learning and experiences.

The aim of this event was to improve understanding of the interface between the different parties involved in public engagement on nanotechnologies, with a view to improving future policy and practice.

The findings of the workshop will be used as the basis of the NEGs next Policy Report to the OSI.
